Our preemie son wasn't diagnosed until he was much older. We had concerns and had two serious conversations about it with our pediatrician at the time. He dismissed what we told him and we should have gotten a second opinion much earlier. Even after we had the diagnosis, he was still giving us advice to tread slowly, etc. What?! Seems like the advice from the local public school, "Wait and see." We missed out on early intervention, something super vital in helping these kiddos kick start so many necessary things. My advice would be to get a second opinion and go with one's gut.
